It’s that time of the year when you have friends and family visiting over for celebrations, greeting, or the famous cards party. This is why you want your home to be warm, inviting and look beautiful. While the beautiful lights on the exterior are a given, here are some easy and convenient decoration ideas that’ll beautify your home on Diwali this year. Spruce it up with DiyaCandle Decoration Simple, beautiful and easily available; Diyas and candles are the best ways to add to the beauty of the house on the night of Diwali. You can further add to their beauty by decorating them with acrylic colours, beads, and sequins. Rev it up with Rangoli An ancient traditions, Rangoli’s are the best way to beautify your home while also showing your hand at creativity. If that seems a bit challenging for you, don’ worry. There are various tools to help you make a rangoli. Top it with Paper Toran Toran’s are usually used to decorate doorways using leaves, flowers and strings. But if you cannot get hold of the supplies, you can craft them out of paper too. Don’t forget to hang a bell at its end, to make it look traditional. Bottled Fairy Lights A latest trend borrowed from the west, it is as simple as putting series lights in a mason jar. For an unconventional decorative idea place a flower or any decorative element like coloured glass, twigs or pebbles, invert a wine glass and place a candle on the top. Don’t Forget the Aroma A nice and pleasant smelling house should always be in your list because this counts the most when considering home decoration for Diwali. Use aroma candles, incense sticks and potpurris to make your house smell like a dream. Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a reply Tips On Making a High End Kitchen On a Budget Posted on August 3, 2017 by Anukampa Reply Kitchen is one of the most basic necessity in a home but tends to get overlooked more often than not when it comes to design and look. The most basic reason behind that is people being reluctant to spend a considerable amount of budget on an area that is not on display. The good news is there are some ways to update your kitchen without busting your budget. Here are 3 ways in which you can remodel your kitchen with minimum fuss: Opt For Custom Cabinets There are many reasons why homeowners choose custom cabinets over – the configuration of a kitchen may require a custom design, the homeowner may have a very specific style in mind, or the options for semi-custom cabinets locally available may be limited. But mostly, they are a great way of cutting costs while maintaining a style in the design. They are stylish, some modular cabinets come with warranties, and a number of them can be installed easily by you, which certainly cuts costs. Affordable Countertops If you feel your countertops have lost the sheen and look outdated. you will be relieved to find out that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to replace them. Instead of the expensive stones like granite, opt for ceramic tiles or laminates. They come in hoards of colours or styles and cost a tenth as much as stone. They are pretty easy to install too. Opt for Affordable Flooring Options With the daily rigours, kitchen flooring is bound for wear and tear. So, why not opt for less expensive materials, which can often be a better choice than more costly materials. Ceramic tile resists wear, moisture, dents and stains and cost less than wood. Plastic laminate too is cheaper, easier to install and wears better than solid wood. Vinyl flooring is another affordable option you can consider while redoing the flooring of your kitchen on a budget. It’s a buyer’s market right now, full of great options and deals. It just takes a little bit of expert advice and exploration of options to get your dream kitchen in a budget. Happy Refurbishing! Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a reply The Impact of GST on The Real Estate Sector Posted on July 13, 2017 by Anukampa Reply The GST bill has been making rounds in the halls of the parliament and on the internet for a long time. The Bill, after being passed in the Lok Sabha looks set to be executed on July 1, 2017. The real estate sector is sure to bring in a lot of changes in the Real Estate Sector, a pivotal sectors of the Indian economy. With a ton of positive changes on the outlook, the bill will bring a lot of relief to the sector. The supply chain mechanism in real estate sector will be revamped after its complete implementation and it will be great to watch the effect that it has on the complete sector of real estate. GST for the Real Estate Sector GST aims at bringing a lot of transparency in the real estate sector and minimise unprincipled transactions. Under the current tax laws, VAT and Service Tax are being charged by a number of contractors and excise duty, entry tax, octroi is paid on the procurements. But, the GST law will increase the edge in the hands of the contractor/developer by removing all the taxes mentioned above. GST is being billed as a gamechanger for the sector as it will replace several taxes, cesses, and surcharges at one go. Once implemented and followed, the real estate sector will come under the GST domain within one year of its rollout. Will homes cost more for home buyers post-GST implementation? The current description of the GST bill states that the leasing of a building, in parts or as a whole – including residential and commercial building, would be considered service rendered as part of the bill. While currently the service tax is only levied on the commercial and industrial units which have been rented out and the residential unit is exempted from such taxes. Now, the service tax and VAT will be replaced by the Central GST and State GST, while the stamp duty will remain unchanged as it is out of the marks of GST. Therefore, the only two aspects that will define the impact of GST on the sector are – the rate and abatement for land value in total agreement value of residential and under- construction homes. On an overall level, with the implementation of the GST in July, the home buyers may need to bear vaguely higher taxes but they could still pay lower prices for the property if the builders pass the profit of input credits, to their customers. Key takeaways Here’s a summary of the impact of GST on the real estate sector: Under-construction homes would attract GST. Leasing and renting of land and building would also invite GST. GST to be levied on EMI of any under-construction property. Tenancy and leasing would be considered as rendering the service under the GST bill. Real estate to come under the GST ambit within one year of the roll-out, which means stamp duties will continue to be charged until then. Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a reply Vastu Shastra Tips For Your Main Entrance Door Posted on June 8, 2017 by Anukampa Reply The main entrance door holds an important place in your house. According to Vaastu Shastra, not only is it the entry point for the family, but also for energy. It creates the first impression of your house and allows the flow of cosmic energy – the energy that promotes your health, wealth and harmony – inside or outside the house. Thus, the entrance door should be positioned in a way where it can activate the most beneficial energy. Here are certain rules about the dos and don’ts to regarding the door. The Direction of Main Entrance Try keeping your main door either in the north, north-east, east, or west, as they are considered the most auspicious directions. The northeastern direction is considered to be the best place as it allows the morning sunrays, fresh air, and...
